ZWDP Oct Update: Care to 127 Donkeys, Hope for Rain, Inspiring Kindness and Building Compassion

Friendicoes Equine Program Oct Update - Bringing Relief in Kedarnath and Building a Kinder Future
Hundreds of animals in India, thanks to Friendicoes, are given hope and healing where it’s needed most. The team is doing incredible work providing essential medical care to horses, ponies, and mules across India, especially those on the gruelling Kedarnath Pilgrimage trek.

Animal Nepal Dukuchhap Animal Sanctuary Oct Update - Flood Recovery, Sonu's Healing and Diwali
Despite heavy rain and floods damaging the sanctuary’s fencing, all animals and staff are safe. The team is raising funds to rebuild by 4th November. This month, one of their beloved donkeys, Sonu, is under treatment for a suspected tick-borne illness and her daughter Monu is being carefully monitored.

LAZAWO Oct Update - Successful Clinic Provided Care for 402 Donkeys in Muhoji
Our amazing partner, LAZAWO, recently completed a major clinic in Muhoji village, treating 245 new donkeys for conditions like wounds, tick infestations, and colic. An additional 157 donkeys received follow-up care, bringing the total treated to 402!

HIS Camel Rescue Centre Sept Update: Camel Care Stories from the Field
Thanks to all the amazing support, the HIS Camel Rescue Centre team has been doing some incredible work for camels in India. In September alone, they held 17 mobile clinic outreaches, treated 498 animals, including 100 camels! They replaced inhumane nose pegs and fitted 2 camel carts with reflectors to keep the camels safe on the roads from accidents.

Nowzad Oct Update - New Harnesses and Compassion for Wounded and Sick Donkeys and Horses
The NOWZAD team has done amazing work for animals this month, bringing some noteworthy changes to their care efforts. For the first time in a long while, no vaccinations were carried out! Instead, the focus shifted to addressing harness wounds and providing as many horses and donkeys as possible with new padded harnesses.

Blind Love Cart Horse Oct Update - Treating a Rare Girth Gall Among 75 Horses in Thaba'Nchu
Blind Love continues its mission to create a better world for animals, one outreach at a time. This month, their dedicated team held several outreaches in the heart of town, offering care and compassion to 75 horses in need. Some of these wonderful horses, named Nice, Hunter, Trouble, and Beyoncé! were treated for internal parasites, minor injuries, and saddle sores.

Blind Love Working Donkeys Oct Update - Hay, Healing, and Happy Faces: Kindness to Grahamstown’s Donkeys
On 9th September, the Blind Love team, alongside Dr Annie, visited Grahamstown for a follow-up with Lady, a donkey who suffered from severe abscesses. Over the month she has been healing very well! They also treated another donkey suffering from a severe case of mange and asked the owner to bring it for a follow-up at their next outreach.
