Nowzad Oct Update - New Harnesses and Compassion for Wounded and Sick Donkeys and Horses

The NOWZAD team has done amazing work for animals this month, bringing some noteworthy changes to their care efforts.

For the first time in a long while, no vaccinations were carried out! Instead, the focus shifted to addressing harness wounds and providing as many horses and donkeys as possible with new padded harnesses.

The dedicated veterinary team treated many animals for wounds caused by harnesses, poorly fitted equipment, or, unfortunately, mistreatment. The compassionate vets worked for hours, applying antibiotics and special wound powders and sprays to help the animals heal.

Among them, two brave donkeys required hospitalisation due to their wounds and are now receiving the time and care needed to rest and recover.

In the photos, you can see the range of issues the vets addressed in September, including severe limping, malnutrition, eye wounds and deep infections from hobbling wounds.

The team has truly been busy making a difference!
