One Sad Goodbye but Five More Donkeys Saved
Your generous donations are helping the Zambezi Working Donkey Project (ZWDP) alleviate suffering for donkeys in Zambia.
In February, they visited six villages and reached 208 working donkeys. Additionally, ZWDP rescued five donkeys.

Animal Nepal's Sanctuary Residents Receive the Best Care Possible
As February comes to a close, Animal Nepal are happy to share some positive updates from their sanctuary.
Their beloved donkey, Moni, has now made a full recovery following her suspected blood protozoan infection.
Last month, all equine residents received their annual Anti-Rabies (ARV) and Tetanus Toxoid (TT) vaccines, along with deworming, to ensure they remain healthy and protected.

Vet Care and Humane Equipment Changing Working Animals' Lives
Blindlove, our partner group in South Africa, aim to improve the welfare of working donkeys in Grahamstown and working horses in Thaba’Nchu.
At their outreach clinics, all animals are checked for parasites (worms, ticks and flies), plus have any injuries or wounds cleaned and treated.
Their team also checks, adjusts and replaces any ill-fitting or worn-out harnesses, since these are responsible for causing many wounds.

New Camel Sanctuary in India Continues to Thrive
Our wonderful AAA donors have been fundamental in establishing a much-needed camel sanctuary in Shaitrawa, Jodhpur.
The sanctuary staff have achieved multiple goals in the past three months, including constructing a new water trough, rescuing a camel named Sultan, welcoming a new baby called Baghira and treating 20 camels for various health issues. A group of intrepid AAA travellers also visited the sanctuary to see the amazing progress firsthand!

Donkey Foal's Journey to Healing
You may recall a few weeks ago we reported on a young donkey foal who had been attacked by dogs. He sustained serious wounds to his face and shoulder. Our partner group in South Africa, Blindlove, have been working tirelessly to help this young creature heal from his wounds and psychological trauma. The video below details his story and happy ending.

Helping Working Equines Recover from Illness and Injury
Our partner group, Friendicoes, have a number of paravets who work in different regions of India. These veterinary assistants are a vital aspect of Friendicoes’ working equine program. They complete basic treatments, clean and re-dress wounds and check on the progress of each sick or injured equine.

Veterinary Care, Rescues and Warm Blankets for Equines in India
We rely on your incredible kindness and support to help fund essential programs for working equines around the globe.
Friendicoes run such a program, driving their Mobile Equine Clinic around the streets of India to assist working horses, donkeys, mules and ponies in need. Last month, they treated multiple horses with various ailments or injuries. They also rescued a donkey and three ponies from desperate situations.

More Donkeys Rescued from Gaza With Your Support
Currently, donkeys in Gaza are some of the animals in most desperate need on the planet. Thanks to your support, our partner group Starting Over in Israel can continue to rescue these donkeys. They are helping many traumatised donkeys recover from their ordeals, allowing them to start afresh and receive all the love and care they deserve.
Three More Abused Donkeys Rescued in Zambia
In Zambia, our partner group Zambezi Working Donkey Project (ZWDP) saw 240 working donkeys during January. They also rescued three more donkeys in need.
