Animal Nepal's Sanctuary Residents Receive the Best Care Possible

As February comes to a close, Animal Nepal are happy to share some positive updates from their sanctuary.

Their beloved donkey, Moni, has now made a full recovery following her suspected blood protozoan infection. After weeks of dedicated care and attention, she is back to her usual self, enjoying her days with her companions.

Last month, all equine residents received their annual Anti-Rabies (ARV) and Tetanus Toxoid (TT) vaccines, along with deworming, to ensure they remain healthy and protected. As always, the horses and mules made the staff run around quite a bit—they are not fans of needles and made sure everyone got their exercise in the process! The animals also received routine hoof care to ensure their feet stay in top condition.

Looking ahead, Animal Nepal’s staff will be administering Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) vaccines to their rescued farm animals. This is part of their routine preventative care program.

With winter gradually fading, the weather in Nepal is beginning to warm up, bringing some relief to both the animals and caretakers. All the residents at the sanctuary are doing well, and the team are looking forward to another month of providing them with the best possible care.

Thank you for your ongoing support, which makes it possible for Animal Nepal to care for each resident with love and dignity. Together, we’re creating a sanctuary where animals are celebrated and cherished as family.
