Nowzad February 2024 Report, Kabul Working Animal Program, Afghanistan

Thanks to your wonderful support, our partner group Nowzad provided treatment in the field to 24 donkeys and 94 horses in February.

Some fast facts of what was achieved….

38 were vaccinated against rabies;

37 vaccinated against tetanus

42 were de-wormed

8 had their hooves trimmed

There were a range of illnesses and issues treated, with some animals having to be hospitalised.

Included are some photos during the month, along with yesterday’s rescue of a severely malnourished and wounded horse which is now recovering at the Nowzad hospital.
