Friendicoes - January 2024 report

Animal Aid Abroad donors help facilitate the care and rescue of animals all over the world, including those in India through groups like Friendicoes.

Friendicoes have started 2024 strong, providing veterinary treatment to many equines, distributing blankets to working animals, and rescuing a pony and a donkey.

The medical issues encountered included the usual colic, lacerated wounds, and abscesses. One horse was having issues with dropping cud and it was found that his teeth were overgrown and had sharp edges, so the team worked on rasping the teeth and getting them back into shape.

The pony that was rescued had been abandoned in Maujpur and suffering with sever mouth ulceration. The rescued donkey was abandoned near a road metro station. Both animals were brought to the Gurgaon shelter where they will receive the treatment and care they need, as well as a safe home.
