LAWCS in Guinea - March 2023 Report

The Liberia Animal Welfare and Conservation Society (LAWCS) in Guinea have had a busy month in March. With the support of Animal Aid Abroad, they treated a total of 1,007 animals including donkeys, horses and cattle for a range of health, dental and hoof issues. They also rescued, treated and released 4 animals. They covered 15 towns in their outreach program.

in addition to the medical clinics, the LAWCS team conducted donkey welfare education sessions for 1,104 animal owners and children, as well as humane harness programs for 512 animal owners.

The team distributed 5 water troughs, 100 humane harnesses and keens/soft back padding for 54 donkeys.

Next month the team aims to continue this work in 15 more towns, as well as education programs in 10 schools.
