Camel Rescue Centre - Help in Suffering India - March 2023

Animal Aid Abroad partner group, Help in Suffering’s Camel Rescue Centre (CRC), has sent us their report on March 2023 activity:

Case-1

One day when we visited the village Nadoti, a camel owner Nawab came to us for his camel. A few days ago, the camel's left eye was injured from a branch of a tree. The eye became red and tears came profusely. After two days, it developed corneal opacity.

Dr. Jitendra, examined the case and found that there was little vision remaining. He treated it with required medication and gave some medicines and eye drops for further use. After two weeks, there was a decrease in opacity and a little improvement in vision. The owner was very happy to see the better condition of his camel.

Case-2

Ghanshyam is the owner of a camel who lives at village Heerawala. He came with his camel with the complaint of colic and impaction for two days. We started the treatment immediately with fluid therapy and other digestive and laxative medicines. We also gave an enema to resolve any physical obstruction. After treatment, the camel started passing little faeces. It was a positive sign. The impaction was cured completely in two days.
