Animal Nepal November 2023 Report
During November, Animal Nepal had many visitors to their sanctuary, which the animals always enjoy because visitors mean extra treats! Staff particularly enjoyed welcoming Grade 9 students from the New Star Pole School. The children loved meeting the rescued animals and spending time with them. Animal Nepal encourages school visits to their sanctuary, as this enables children to develop a deeper understanding of the importance of rescuing and rehabilitating vulnerable animals, properly caring for them, not exploiting animals for entertainment, and having compassion and empathy for all living beings.
Working animals like donkeys and mules are not very visible in people’s day to day lives, as they are mostly found in places like brick kilns, so for many sanctuary visitors it’s their first time meeting a donkey. The donkeys are usually very friendly and love being around visitors, which helps to build a connection between the equines and people.
All of the rescue animals are currently in good health and enjoy basking in the sun during the day as the nights are growing colder. The team will be bringing out their winter jackets very soon!
Animal Nepal have expressed their sincerest gratitude to Animal Aid Abroad’s donors for your continued support in running this sanctuary for rescued equines in Dukuchhap.
