LAWCS September 2023 Report

Thanks to the generous donations of AAA supporters, LAWCS is able to provide the only free critical veterinary services for working animals in various remote communities in Guinea that depend on their working animals for livelihoods.

Following is a case study from their work during September 2023:

Madusu is a single mother who depends on her two donkeys to care for her children. According to Madusu, her two donkeys are the only source of income for she and her children.

They use the donkeys to fetch firewood which they sell to get food and send the kids to school. The donkeys are also used to work for other people and the incomes are used to sustain the family.

According to Madusu, the education and free veterinary care from LAWCS/Animal Aid Abroad have helped to improve the health and welfare of her donkeys. She said the organization has helped to take care of her kids due to the free services her donkeys are receiving plus the education which has improved their love, respect, and compassion for the animals.
