Animal Nepal Dukuchhap Animal Sanctuary - September 2023 Report
Animal Nepal is one of the longstanding partner groups which is supported with the help of AAA donors. They have provided us with a report for September 2023 on their Dukuchhap Animal Sanctuary.
Our 5 new residents are settling in well to the sanctuary but we continue to keep them separately from the other animals so that they can all get used to each other gradually and we don’t want to rush the introductions in case they don’t get along. This month, our young bull Saanu (Pravin) had an unfortunate accident and injured his leg after sustaining a fall. Our Vets are taking good care of Pravin and his wound is recovering well and the good news is that there won’t be any long-term impact on his leg. We also built bamboo fencing around our horse/mule enclosure as the old one needed to be replaced. We have recently finished the fence and now looks great and more importantly it provides good security for our animals.
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Animal Aid Abroad for their continued financial support in the running and maintenance of the sanctuary for our rescued equines in Dukuchhap. AAA have been particularly supportive in these past few months since we got our new rescues. From providing financial support to medical advice in handling glanders and dental management in equines, we have really appreciated AAA’s help.
