Help in Suffering - Camel Rescue Centre - September 2023 Report
Our generous AAA donors have long supported the work of Help in Suffering (HIS) Camel Rescue Centre (CRC). They have sent us a couple of case studies during their work in September 2023.
Case-1
One day a camel owner Ramji Lal came to us from the village Bassi. There was a big hole in the right nostril of his camel, because the wooden nose peg had caused a wound there and, left untreated, the maggots got in and made the hole bigger. Dr. Jitendar closed the hole surgically under local anaesthesia. The owner was very happy to have received the service.
Case-2
In village Sindoli, there lives a camel owner Ramchandra with his family. Ramchandra called us and told us that his camel was bleeding profusely because of a wound on his hind limb.
Dr. Jitendar decided to travel there immediately. On reaching the location he found that the camel was bleeding too much. The camel was sedated and the wound was repaired surgically. It was a very happy moment for the owner and us both.
All up for September, the team helped 593 animals and distributed 6 cart reflectors and 24 plastic nose pegs.
