Animal Nepal - August Update

Please find following the Animal Nepal Dukuchhap donkey sanctuary monthly report for August 2022

This month we have continued to experience very heavy rainfall and as such our animals haven’t been able to spend as much time outside as they would have normally liked. The good news however is that the rain brings with it lots of fresh green grass to graze on, which they are absolutely loving. After the diagnosis of malaria, Kush is still weak and undergoing treatment. Many animals tend to get sick during the monsoon season due to the high prevalence of parasites and insects during this time. This month, all of our animals have undergone treatment for both internal parasites (worms) and external parasites (fleas and ticks). Besides this, they are all doing well and apart from Kush, all are in good health. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Animal Aid Abroad for their continued financial support in the running and maintenance of the sanctuary for our rescued equines in Dukuchhap.
