Help in Suffering Camel Rescue Centre in Bassi - August case studies

Following is the Camel Rescue Centre in Bassi’s case studies from August:

Case-1

One day when our team was on the way to one of their treatment sites, one person Mangilal from village Lisadia stopped us to see his camel. When we reached it, we found that the camel was very weak. He was unable to stand up and kept lying on the ground for 5 days. Our CRC vet administered fluid therapy and other required medicines. He asked to keep the same medication continued by their local practitioner. After 4 days we received a call from the owner that the camel’s condition was improving. He started sitting without help and also increased food intake.

Case-2

We received a call from village Ishlampur, Dausa. The owner Mohit told us that his camel has burnt both his knees as he accidentally sat in the hot ash of a cemetery.

Dr. Jitendar went with his team to see the camel. The wounds were cleaned and antiseptic dressing was done. Painkillers and antibiotics were given according to symptoms.

The owner was advised to provide rest to the animal and to keep away from flies.
