Friendicoes - March 2022 Report

AAA partner group, Friendicoes, based in India, have sent us an updated on their equine program for March 2022.

They have come across a number of colic cases involving dehydration, impaction, and poor gut motility. This will likely be a increasing issue as it is predicted that water will be the biggest need in 2022.

Other cases treated included chemical wounds, a neck abscess, lacerated wounds and back sores.

An aged pony was also rescued from Turkman Gate, as well as a seven month old foal found lying by a highway in Muradabad. Both animals are now safe and sound and cared for at the sanctuary.
