Kurdistan Organisation for Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) - December 2021

Dr Sulaiman and the team at the Kurdistan Organisation for Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) had a busy end of 2021, treating a total of 1662 animals, including donkeys, mules, horses, dogs, camels, sheep, goats and other cattle, as well as distributing 15 humane nasal protectors for donkeys and horses. The animals were treated for a wide range of health issues, which unfortunately included road trauma and neglect.

The team also carried out a number of education sessions with the local community to help change attitudes and care towards working animals in the region.
