Help in Suffering - Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) - December 2021

The Help in Suffering Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) in Bassi have updated us on the December 2021 activity:

Case-1

In village Heerawala, for the outreach program, the team found many camels and owners waiting on their arrival. One person, Kamlesh came with the complaint of swelling under right eye of his camel. Dr. Jitendar examined it and found that it was a big pus-filled abscess.

Under sedation, the abscess was surgically opened, drained and cleaned aseptically. The owner was advised to clean the wound properly; antibiotics and pain killers were administered. After a few days of antiseptic and dressing, the wound healed well.

 Case-2-

One day an emergency call from Gangapur City came to the CRC. The camel owner Ganesh told us that his camel has been showing lameness for 3-4 days while walking on the gravel road. He was unable to reach CRC because of the pain so the team decided to go to his place.

After examining, it was found that there was a wound at his foot pad, filled with small stones. These stones were responsible for his lameness and pain.

The wound was cleaned, and the stones were taken out. Bandaging was done and proper medication was given in order to facilitate a full recovery.
