Patience pays off for cow treated by Kurdistan Organization of Animal Rights Protection

Previously, Dr Sulaiman had updated us on a recumbent cow that he had treated. The cow had been unable to move for 50+ days. The owner had decided to slaughter the cow, but with insistence from Dr Sulaiman and his team to wait and let the medicine work, the cow now stand, move around and eat normally again. Everyone was very happy to see the now healthy cow grazing on the green pasture.

During the month of March, the team treated 56 donkeys, 3 mares, 8 stallions, 1,762 goat, sheep and cattle, 75 shepherd dogs and 145 poultry.

The team cover a wide area including 2 provinces, 6 districts and 19 villages.

Along with treating the animals, the team also educate community members on the humane management of their animals.
