Help in Suffering (HIS) - Quarterly Equine Report - July to Sept 2021

Help in Suffering (HIS), have had a busy third quarter of 2021, seeing horses and donkeys with bite wounds, lacerations, colic, tumours, bone fractures, general weakness and respiratory problems, among others.

All animals were treated according to their diagnoses, and all animals treated were also dewormed and had their hooves trimmed.

One of the shelter donkeys gave birth during July to a foal named “Lily”.

While the team treat a higher number of dogs, cats and camels on a day to day basis, the shelter and community equines that HIS treat are some of the most in need.
