Friendicoes: The Camel Sanctuary (Shaitrawa Jodhpur) Update - A New Home For The Camels

Friendicoes Camel Sanctuary (Shaitrawa Jodhpur) in India is facing a significant change. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the land where the sanctuary is currently located has been divided.

As a result, the sanctuary is being relocated to a different part of the land.

There will be no extra cost will be incurred in this move. The good people at Friendicoes will dismantle and take all materials funded generously by AAA donors and will erect the new Sanctuary as it was before. Stay tuned to see the new Sanctuary in our August newsletter.

Caring for Camels

In the meantime, the camels are doing well. The recent rains have brought some relief from the heat, and the Friendicoes team is providing them with shade, water, food, and necessary treatments as always.

Those undergoing treatment are being cared for - even if it is out in the open!

Within the next month, the sanctuary aims to complete the construction of a new shed, water troughs, and boundary fencing. Until then, the camels will continue to receive close attention and care.

The sanctuary is grateful for the ongoing support of its donors.

Your generosity goes towards ensuring the camels’ well-being and care during this transitional period and beyond.

The move is cost-free thanks to AAA donors who funded all materials. The Friendicoes team will carefully relocate and rebuild the Sanctuary as it was.
