Visakha Society for the Protection and Care of Animals [VSPCA, India, February 2024 update
With heartfelt appreciation, we thank you. It is because of your invaluable support, that we receive positive news such as this from Visakha Society for the Protection and Care of Animals [VSPCA], on the many rescued working buffaloes and cattle in their care.
Founder of VSPCA Pradeep Nath, reported that all the cattle and buffaloes permanently housed at Kindness Farm, were rescued from very difficult conditions and situations.
Sadly, once these animals are no longer productive [ eg. give milk, haul or carry loads] they are discarded and left to die or defend for themselves. Lucky for them, including many other animals, VSPCA gives them a safe and caring forever home.
Most of these bovines were severely dehydrated, malnourished and close to collapse. Many had injuries to their backs and swollen legs. Some even had Anthrax but Pradeep and his dedicated team didn't give up on them and following all medical protocols, the cattle were finally given the all-clear from the disease.
Pradeep wanted to thank you and said "...your support enables us to provide better help for them and their lives and will also allow us to move in confidence to help more."
