HIS Camel Rescue Centre - December 2023 Report

HIS Camel Rescue Centre is based in Bassi and would not be able to do the crucial work they do with working camels in their area if not for the financial support from AAA donors. Following are wo case studies from December 2023:

Case-1

In the month of December, we received some more members in our CRC family.

We received 8 camels from Amrita Devi Jeev Jantu Kalyan Board, Jaipur. All the camels were rescued from Purnia, Bihar. The rescuer was in contact with our managing trustee Mrs. Timmi Kumar. All camels were going to be slaughtered there.  5 camels were injured with different kinds of wounds. At CRC, they all were admitted, treated and were provided with nutritious diet.

Now all are adjusting with the surroundings, recovering from traumas and developing friendliness.

Case-2

After a call from village Jatwara, we went there to rescue a camel. It had fallen into a pit.

Dr. Jitendar observed that the camel suffered from a spinal injury and was unable to bear his weight and could not stand. It was a very painful condition.

The required medication was started and with the help of a pully he was kept in standing position. Some physiotherapy and msssage were also given.

Despite best efforts to save the camel, it was very unfortunate that he died in the night after two days.
