Trainee paravets join Tanzania Humane Charity

Animal Aid Abroad’s partner group, Tanzania Humane Charity (TAHUCHA), recently expanded their team to include three trainee paravets. The accompanying photos show them assisting at a recent community education session conducted at Msinila village during the regular donkey clinics funded by Animal Aid Abroad.

The young ladies in the yellow T shirts are the trainees, volunteering with TAHUCHA to learn more about humane donkey handling and general welfare and health of donkeys (both foals and Jennys). These Paravets will be with TAHUCHA until April 2023 .

Dr Buluba who is funded by Animal Aid Abroad, was asked a few questions about their work, training etc.

What are the names of the three paravets?

There are three (Joyce Edward, Flora Mpagama and Neema Shaban)

It is one month

Do they accompany and assist you on all your clinics?

Yes, they work under supervision

Do they have theory they have to study too?

Yes, they are in Animal Health and Production Level IV and Level V

What do they get at the end of their training with you? Will they be qualified?

They will be qualified for the next level of their study

Where will they go after their training?
