Help in Suffering's Camel Rescue Centre report for December 2022

AAA partner group, Help in Suffering (HIS) have sent us their Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) case studies for December 2022.

Case-1

One day when we were at village Paatan, a person named Hariram brought his camel to us. His camel was dehydrated with dry faeces and also showing symptoms of colic for a few days. Dr. Jitendar started the treatment. The fluids, painkiller, laxatives and digestive medicines were given. He was also given regular deworming.

The owner was asked to feed a soft and succulent diet and to provide the camel with plenty of water.

 Case-2

We got a call from the village Sambharia. The camel owner Ramphul reported that his camel was lying down on the ground and it was in an emergency condition.

Our camel team from CRC immediately went there and found that the camel was in lateral recumbency, showing subnormal temperature, dehydrated and there was the potential that it would die soon.

We started the treatment with fluids, life saving drugs, multi vitamins etc. After treatment the camel felt better and started responding to the sound, touch and then sat up etc.

Next day we got a call from the same owner that the camel started sitting and also wanted to eat food.

He thanked us a lot.

Thank you to HIS for their good work in helping to improve the health and welfare of working animals in their comunity.
