LAWCS October 2023 Report

One of the partner groups which is supported by the generosity of AAA donors is LAWCS in Guinea. They assist animals with welfare veterinary needs, as well as community members to learn about humane handling of their animals. One such community member is Mabendu.

Mabendu lives in a rural community near Kankan, Guinea with her family and two donkeys who are the main sources of income for her family. According to Mabendu, LAWCS program has helped she and her family to learn about welfare of their donkeys and more love and care for the animals. Even the kids have developed connection and love for the family donkeys. Support from our partner, Animal Aid Abroad make it possible for us to help many suffering working animals and their owners.

In total during October, LAWCS treated over 924 animals, trained over 1,100 people in humane treatment of donkeys, throughout 15 towns, and they distributed 12 humane harnesses as well as 5 sets of keens/soft back padding.
