Zambezi Working Donkey Project - August Update

During August the Zambezi Working Donkey Project (ZWDP) team conducted six outreach clinics and treated 155 for dipping, de-worming and wound care. The team made and issued 14 sets of new humane harnesses, and fixed a further 34 sets.

The male donkey Zesco, who underwent surgery to remove a large tumour on his shoulder, was released back to his owner having made a full recovery. ZWDP also returned another donkey called Senya who had been in their care for hoof treatment. The team will keep a close eye on these donkeys to make sure they remain healthy and happy.

The gorgeous photos accompanying this report are thanks to interns who visited from the Impact Photography Programme which is run by Penda Trust. ZWDP are so grateful for these beautiful images which highlight the work being done with communities around Livingstone.
