Zambezi Working Donkey Project - July 2022 report
During the very cold month of July, the Zambezi Working Donkey Project (ZWDP) team undertook mobile clinics in the village of Ganda and at Libuyu. They treated 77 donkeys for ticks, worms and wounds. Additionally, they provided 24 humane harnesses.
The team currently have 4 donkeys with them on a temporary basis for treatment and they will be returned to their owners once they have recovered. In addition to the permanent rescues, this brings the number of donkeys at Maramba Farm to 17. ZWDP are in discussions with the neighbouring farm to lease some additional land which will enable them to take in more rescues.
The rescue animals also had some special visitors - children Isla and Piper who were visiting all the way from Canada and were so happy to finally meet the donkeys they have been supporting!
