Kurdistan Organisation for Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) March Report

During the month of March, in which Dr Sulaiman and his team at the Kurdistan Organisation for Animal Rights Protection (KOARP), treated over 1,000 different animals, the team also benefitted from the expertise of invites guest, Dr Esther van Herwaarden.

Dr.Esther van Herwaarden’s specialties are in equine medicine (metabolic diseases, colic, ulcers etc), lameness , dentistry and reproduction. This was the first time that the KOARP team has invited a veterinarian volunteer and the group benefitted immensely from this opportunity. The group including 18 local veterinarians was able to work a full nine days, looking at different kinds of treatments and the education received during these workshops was invaluable.
