Help in Suffering Camel Rescue Centre report - February 2022

Following is the Help in Suffering Camel Rescue Centre report for February 2022:

Case-1

One day we received an emergency call for a camel from a village near Goner. The owner Baluram said that his female camel gave birth to a calf 6 days ago but after that there was some blood coming from genital tract and now there was offensive odour.

Our CRC vet Dr. Jitendar reached there and found the case of uterine infection.

The treatment started immediately. We  removed placental debris from the uterus.

Intra-uterine medicines and other related medicines were given. Owner was happy after the treatment.

Case-2

On reaching village Kanota the owner Salman came to us and told us that his camel is not passing faeces for two days and lying down on the ground as facing abdominal pain.

Neither was he drinking or eating.

We asked about the history and found that this is the condition that happened after the camel accidentally ate a lot of wheat flour breads.

The camel was dehydrated so fluid was administered and also oral purgatives were given.

A day after the camel passed a large amount of loose faeces and found great relief in all bad symptoms.
