Help in Suffering Camel Rescue Centre - October 2022 Report

The Help in Suffering Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) has sent us their October 2022 report:

Case-1

One owner from village Sindoli told us that his camel was eating well but sometimes shaking his head and was sometimes trying to rub it onto hard objects. Our CRC vet Dr. Jitendar examined it carefully. He found that there was some blood collected in the flap of the outer ear (Aural hematoma). It occurs due to some kind of injury and becomes painful and makes the animal uneasy.

Under anaesthesia the problem was solved surgically. The wound was dressed aseptically and appropriate antibiotics and painkillers were administered.

Case-2

On one evening an owner came to us from village Kanota. He complained that his camel was not eating well for 3-4 days and was getting tired ever after a small amount of work.

On examination we found that the poor animal had moderately high body temperature. He was unwell because of this fever and not eating well. CRC vet administered some fluids and also given required medication. He was also given medicines for home use.
