Animal Nepal Dukuchhap Donkey Sanctuary - January Report

AAA partner group, Animal Nepal have updated us on their January activity:

“In January, our sanctuary residents received their annual vaccinations to protect them against Rabies and Tetanus. Administering vaccinations is always much more challenging for some than the others. However, this year we were pleasantly surprised to see Moksh, one of our naughtiest residents being very submissive and he did not show any resistance!

This month, Samir, one of our donkeys was experiencing some issue with her legs, where she was limping slightly. Upon examination, there were no injuries and following few days of anti-pain and anti-inflammation medicine, she was back to her normal and mischievous self. The rest of the residents are all doing well with no health issues.

After almost 2 years of moving to Dukuchhap, we are now in the process of building a permanent around our sanctuary premises. The construction work should be complete within 2-3 months. A permanent wall will keep our animals and property secure and we are very much looking forward to its completion.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Animal Aid Abroad for their continued financial support in the running and maintenance of the sanctuary for our rescued equines in Dukuchhap.”
