Donkey Crisis Tanzania - UPDATE

Thanks to you...……

  • 5000 donkeys this week continue to be fed and watered in and around the closed donkey abattoir in Shinyanga

  • Enough food is now bought & on-site to feed the donkeys for one month

  • Most of the injured and sick donkeys given treatment and care by the Dr Buluba and the TAHUCHA team. The rest will be attended to as soon as possible.

  • 30 mums and their foals now safely at the TAHUCHA-AAA Donkey Sanctuary in Bukombe

  • 12 orphaned foals now safely at our donkey Sanctuary [ sadly their mothers were killed for their skin just before the abattoir was closed]

  • 300 injured, weak, pregnant and old donkeys will be transported to the Donkey Sanctuary in the next few days to get on-going care.

  • The Donkey Sanctuary will be expanded to accommodate the extra donkeys with the purchase of an additional 10 acres, installation of water tanks, troughs, stables & fencing.

  • This extra 10 acres will also be used to cultivate food for the donkeys so to minimise our on-going expenses

It’s all thanks to you!!

We will continue to keep you updated on how your funds have assisted to save 1000’s of donkeys in Tanzania.
