Camel with painful mouth wound treated at the Camel Rescue Centre in Bassi

The Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) in Bassi run by Help in Suffering- Jaipur, Rajasthan-India recently sent us some images of a camel that they recently treated:
One day a community member came to the CRC from village Lalsot. He complained that his camel had a hole in its face and that water comes out from it continuously. The camel had no other issues aside from this.
CRC vet Dr. Jitendar examined the case and found that it was the rupture of a salivary duct which resulted in buccal fistula. Aside form water, food was also coming out through the hole.
So it was decided to repair it surgically. Surgery was performed by Dr. Jitendar with the help of Dr. Abhinav under general and local anaesthesia. Everything went smoothly. The camel was released after two days. Now the camel is completely recovered.
