AAA supporters visit MAWO in Tanzania
Ann Jones (AAA member and special friend) and her friend Rose from Perth, WA paid a special visit to our partner group in Tanzania - Meru Animal Welfare Organisation (MAWO). They took donated medical supplies to MAWO that will be used to assist the vet staff to treat working donkeys.
During the two day visit, Ann and Rose attended a one day clinic in Samaria Madukani where they saw donkeys that have been treated before and recovered, as well as wound treatments, eye infections, deworming and harness training.
They also visited Samaria and Olmotonyi primary schools as well as the Nkoaranga orphanage.
Ann and Rose were able to appreciate the work MAWO are doing and that Animal Aid Abroad is helping MAWO to reach more animals in rural areas.
Johnson from MAWO said: “A huge thank you to Animal Aid Abroad member Ann Jones and her friend Rose for visiting Meru Animal Welfare Organisation in Tanzania with wonderful donations of both school and donkey clinic materials.
We also appreciate them joining us for our donkey mobile clinic and school club. Thank you so much for the generous support of our project."
