Work continuing in Kurdistan

AAA partner group, Kurdistan Organisation of Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) works hard throughout the Duhok province of Kurdistan to treat and monitor the status of the working animals there. Veterinary treatment, food and equipment is supplied, as well as education and advice for animal owners on the proper care of their animals.

During February, the team treated around 2,303 animals, including 37 donkeys, 2 mares, 3 stallions, 1,090 sheep, goat and cattle, 51 shepherd dogs and 35 poultry.

Treatments given included prophylactic treatment, wound management, de-worming, mange, diarrhoea, eye infection and parasites etc.
