Help for the animals affected by the bushfire crisis
We know how much our members are animal-lovers, therefore we also know how hard it is for you (like us) to hear about the plight of the wildlife caught in the bushfire crisis in eastern Australia.
We wanted to let you know that, hoping to help the animals at least a little, our medical co-ordinator, Jenny, has taken box after box of donated medical goods to collection points in Perth, that then gets sent to where it is needed over east.
We also want you to know that, in terms of donated medical goods from us, no AAA partner groups will now miss out because of our donations for Australian animals; this is because, in general, the goods we have sent over east are different to those required by our partner groups, and also….there is so much generously being given to Jenny, that all stock that was allocated to our partner groups is still intact.
In addition, no AAA funds were used for either acquiring or sending these items across to the east.
Another of our AAA Committee, Janette Huston has been doing her bit too. Rounding up 27 mates to make kangaroo pouches for wildlife rescue groups over east.
We all keep in our minds and hearts the animals who need our help right now.
