New project in Liberia

Recently AAA partnered with a group in Liberia, and below is the first update from them on a new project:

We want to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to you and the entire team at Animal Aid Abroad for empowering us to respond to the plight of working animals in Guinea. Your support is critical and timely for the suffering animals in Guinea. The program has started and the reception from the local government authorities and animal owners is so welcoming. These animals serve as key source of income for the people in the region but treated with extreme cruelty. The animals work for 4 to 6 hours without resting and sleep in open areas without shelter to protect them from Sun and rain. The education program is focused on helping the people to understand the importance of providing the five basic welfare needs of the animals. The people are so happy for the program because according to them, this is the first time in the history to learn about the welfare of their own animals. The people met with our team have agreed and decided to improve the conditions for their working animals by reducing the number of working hours, building shelters for the animals, providing them enough diets and fresh water, etc. The team has reached and educated 245 adults, 174 children and 281 animals have been treated from various conditions in deworming, wound dressing, etc. since the program started on June 20, 2019.
