Work continuing in Kurdistan
Dr Sulaiman of the Kurdistan Organisation of Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) has been continuing his good work with a focus recently on the shepherd dogs as it is the season for them to be in heat, causing fights, and resulting in injuries. Recently, there were 41 shepherd dogs treated, along with 28 donkeys, 3 horses, 1 mule, 75 poultry, 662 sheep, goat and cattle, across 6 districts and 9 villages. Work carried out included prophylactic treatment, wound care, de-worming, treatment of mange, diarrhoea, eye infection, genetic new born, fracture, external parasite and providing advice to owners.
