Donkeys continue to benefit from MAWO's work in Meru

The Meru Animal Welfare Organisation (MAWO) runs regular mobile outreach clinics for donkeys and other animals in their region. During April they ran a clinic in Lostate village where they de-wormed 112 donkeys.

22 of the donkeys had wounds that required attention, most of which were caused by poor harnessing, and one broken leg cause by the donkey falling into a hole.

All wounds were treated accordingly and the owners were advised on proper harnessing techniques.

The group aim to improve the overall health and well-being of working donkeys over time through treatment and education, and the community are now beginning to see the benefit.

Thank you to our supporters who help us to sustain groups like MAWO.
