Hendro Animal Rescue Centre and Shelter

We are very happy to officially announce that the Hendro Animal Rescue Centre in Mannar, Sri Lanka is off and running. Last week, our partner in the project, Bridging Lanka handed over the cheque for the purchase of the 2-acre plot. Jeremy Liyanage [ Executive Director] of Bridging Lanka met with the lawyer and seller to finalise the deal. Thanks also to a special friend and member of AAA who made the purchase of this land possible.

The next step in the process is for the Lands Department to register the land and then we can start designing and planning the infrastructure for this vacant block of land.

We are fortunate to have a great partner, Bridging Lanka, who we have already been assisting for the past 4 years with the Donkey Clinic and Education Centre, located only 200 metres away from the Hendro Shelter site.
