Providing warmth and padding for hard working donkeys, mules and ponies in India

Recently, Animal Aid Abroad provided much needed funds to buy 600 keens [padding] for donkeys, mules and horses owned by very poor families in the Delhi region of India. These keens provide much needed protection to the animals back, lessening injury, pain and suffering.

We also funded 300 blankets that will provide warmth for ponies and mules during the current winter season where night temperatures drop significantly and many of these animals do not have proper shelter.

Our partner group, Friendicoes SECA do this annually as it’s a protective preventive measure and the scheme helps them get to the donkeys, mules ponies before they sustain really bad injuries. Over the years a significantly low number of saddle sores and back wounds are being reported / seen.
