Young Camel gets a helping hand - India

India Update: Last December concerned villagers contacted our partners, the Camel Rescue Centre, regarding an injured camel roaming Nai Nath village. The young camel was found with a fractured and torn forelimb.

Thanks to you and the Winsome Kindness Trust, a purpose built hydraulic van was able to reach the village and collect the camel, taking it to the purpose built facility 20 kilometers away.

Veterinarian Dr. Jitendar sedated the camel, providing treatment that included a split. A month later the splint was removed with the camel once again able to bare weight on all legs.
