A focus on equines in Duhok, Kurdistan

The Kurdistan Organization for Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) in the Duhok Province has been focused on a new survey project in the past month, which involves Dr Sulaiman collecting data and information about the equines he treats in the area, with a particular focus on donkeys and original Kurdish horses. This will also allow for better education and awareness for the locals on correct care and respect for these animals. During November KOARP treated 18 donkeys, 110 poultry, 403 sheep, goat and cattle and 35 shepherd dogs, across 5 districts and 8 villages.

KOARP also provided medical supplies, food and equipment to low income families in the area.

It will be fantastic to see the results of the survey and to see the positive affects it will have on the operation in Duhok.
