Followers of Animal Aid Abroad will know that Bukombe in Tanzania is a hot spot for working animal abuse, with hundreds of donkeys receiving routine beatings from their owners, as well as being forced to use inhumane yoke cart systems, both of which cause great pain, suffering and trauma, both physical and mental, for these poor animals.

We have been given an opportunity to turn this around.

Until January 31, EthicalJobs.com.au are supporting Animal Aid Abroad by matching every donation received, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000, giving us a fundraising potential of $40,000!

An amazing $14,863 has been donated through this campaign so far, and you can help us reach the goal of $20,000.

Your donation will help to fund and replace 120 carts for the donkeys in Bukombe as well as help to support the development of mobile medical clinics in the area.

Animal Aid Abroad already has 30 humane donkey carts on order to distribute to the donkey owners with the worst carts. This will bring immediate relief to the donkeys, and create awareness among the owners as the cruel yoke carts are replaced. Ten carts can be manufactured per month at a cost of AUD350 each, so by the end of January, there will be ten less donkeys suffering.
