Donkey Rescue in Nepal this week
Written by AAA
Created Sunday, 07 March 2010
Shree Devi was found at Shree AB brick kiln in Kathmandu this week. The Animal Nepal team went to Shree AB to hand over a first aid kit supplied by Animal Aid Abroad Inc. plus educational flex and to conduct a health camp. We left with a handicapped donkey. We hope next time we will leave empty handed!
Shree Devi is almost blind, dehydrated and suffers from weakness in her back legs. The owner happily signed her over. Once she arrived in the Sanctuary all the donkeys left the shelter to sniff her out. Shree Devi easily passed the test. After that she had her first meal at the Sanctuary. Please see the pictures below of this rescue and if you would like to adopt her please go to our donkey adoptions page.
