After visiting their centre and mobile clinic while in India, AAA will buy 500 blankets called neems, for working equines and a water trough and water pump for donkeys and mules used a brick kiln just outside the city of Delhi.
Thanks to our wonderful donors and supporters, we are able to help these animals and continue to support where we can these very abused, neglected and overworked animals.
We would like to thank Geeta Seshamani [Founder of Friendicoes], Tandrali Kuli and Dr Swami and his equine team who made our visit to their facilities and operations such an amazing and humbling experience. We are in awe and gratitude that people like them are doing such amazing work in such a challenging region of the world.
Pictured is Dr Swami, his team, Janet and Adele at one of their 'Tonga' stands in the city of Delhi.
NB: A 'Tonga' stand is where the horses, mules and donkeys live with their owners and handlers. This particular stand that we visited has 250 equines living and working out from this location. There are a total of 6 stands/ 703 equines in the city that Friendicoes supports and helps.
