Equine and Dog report from NepalWritten by Gabi, Happy Children Trust, Nepal Created Thursday, 15 July 2010 The Equines and the dogs at the orphanage are really fine and well. Except some injuries they had. Small injury like wounds in their legs, because of running around wildly occurred. Some times small injuries happened when they were hitting the bamboo fence. Once Karnali had a mammary gland problem. It was swollen. According to one of our big boys, Gopal, who is in his vocational training as a vet asistant - it was because of insects bites. Sundari had an injury on her nose. It happened when they were playing and she hit the bamboo wall of the summer horse shed. White Beauty is getting much better and stronger. She is integrated into the group now. Romeo wants to play with her a lot, but she doesn't like his fast, wild movements. So, she is rather waiting when some snacks are distributed till it comes to her turn instead of skipping the queue. Molly was taken to the vet several times, but he didn't give us much hope to get Molly to walk properly. But there is still one staff specially there to take care for the dogs. He is doing the exercises with Molly three times a day. Molly is happy and eventhough she is not being able to use her back legs, she is "walking" around quite fast . Molly and Tiger are always hungry, it seems they cannot get over their bad experiences in the past. Tiger's ear healed well. The old "man" is happy and satisfied. Thank to all good hearted donors, all these animals can live "happily ever after". Attached you will find photos from the sponsored animals. Many greetings and a big thanks
