Description

This gentle, 7 year old mule is now feeling relaxed at the Animal Nepal Donkey Sanctuary. But before being rescued in Spring 2014, this male mule was hauling bricks in the hot sun while suffering from respiratory problems and countless wounds. Stella found a deserving retirement home at Animal Nepal’s Godavari Donkey Sanctuary.

Update (September 2014)
Stella was one of the donkeys rescued from Bhaktapur brick factory. Today this gentle, 7 years old mule is feeling relaxed at the Animal Nepal donkey sanctuary. Recently however Stella is having some health issues and the vets have suspected him of suffering from anaplasmosis. Stella’s blood has been sent for examination and he has been kept under medication.

Stella is also among those who love to spend time with himself. This handsome male mule is having the best time of his life at our sanctuary as he loves the rainy season. Stella is really easy with the feeding and treatments and our caretakers really feel comfortable with him. He is Dr.Yadav's one of the favourite mule. Rescued in a very bad shape, nobody imagined Stella to become such an adorable mule in just 2 years time. Our vets were sure that Stella won't survive as he was also suspected of anaplasmosis. He spent most of his time isolated from other equines, the reason for which he loves to stay alone and loves the company of humans more than the equines. Stella is now a very healthy and happy mule with no any other sign of illness.

Stella is a sweet mule. He was abandoned by his owner and left to fend on his own. When he was rescued by Animal Nepal, he was suffering from respiratory problems, anaplasmosis and was missing an eye. Stella has recovered well. He is almost 300 kgs and spending a happy life with rest of our four legged furry friends. He is one our quieter mules and enjoys the company of the caretakers very much. He got all his vaccines with his fellow friends on the 2nd of December (T.T) and Rabies on 17th December. Stella is now a very healthy and happy mule with no sign of sickness.
