Noby, the best friend of Shakti (another newly rescued) is a beautiful castrated red male horse. He is extremely friendly and has no reported sign of illness. His overall body condition is above average and he really gets along with other equines and staff. However, he has received a really good hoof trimming from our vets which has made him more active. He was brought to Animal Nepal Godavari Donkey Sanctuary on 1st October 2015 from the same adopters who adopted him from our sanctuary years back. After the earth quake he was shifted from Teku to Lamatar with another 6 equines and when the situation got worse the owners had to move out of the country.

nepal su16 21Update (June 2016)
At first sight, everyone assumes that Noby is a female horse. That beautiful she is! Noby, the best friend of Shakti is a castrated male horse and is very friendly with all our staff members. As you can see in the picture Tara, our para vet, loves to feed Noby by herself and Noby totally enjoys her company. He was rescued along with another 5 equines from his adopter Pauline. His body score condition was above average except for some over grown hooves. Our vet, Yadav, gave a nice hoof trimming to Noby which made him more comfortable and active. Just like Shakti and the other newly rescued equines, Noby likes to be around humans and doesn't really seem to have any interest in making friends with other equines. Noby was the center of attention at Pauline's guest house before his rescue. But he loves our sanctuary no less than his previous home.

nepal june17 15Update (June 2017)
Noby is easily the most handsome equine, and is a bit choosy when it comes to who he wants to hang around with. Noby, along with his other friends at the sanctuary go through their regular maintenance of teeth and hoof trimming and are kept in tip-top condition. He is obviously very proud of his beautiful hair and loves to be brushed.

Our doctor Sajana, is very fond of him and Noby tends to respond to her much better than our other caretakers. He does not have any major health issues and is spending his days happily with other members in the shelter.
