Ramu is an adult male macaque who came to Help In Suffering in 2007 after being rescued with a serious jaw injury. His recovery took a considerable amount of time due to his injuries and left him quite maimed around the mouth.

The experts at the time thought his serious injury and prolonged association with, most probably, a human gang that made him steal, would make his reintroduction to his natural habitat unwise.

He was therefore not released and stayed on in the care of Help In Suffering.

Ramu has now found a partner in a rescued blind female macaque and will stay with her and HIS forever.
